Years ago, when “Kwaku Ananse” stories were the in-thing; it was always enjoyable listening to all those tales and learning the lessons of life.
I am yet to come across a single Kwaku Ananse story that ended with Ananse not being exposed and made a laughing stock.
In all the Ananse stories, Kwaku Ananse always started-off as the smartest Alec on earth; but at the end of each story, he always ended up making a big fool of himself.
It is amazing how the NPP Government led by Nana Akufo-Addo, has decided to turn itself into a Kwaku Ananse Government.
As I have put out time without number, I never expected the nation to walk up any paths of visionary leadership in the any unlikely event that Nana Akufo-Addo made it to the highest seat of the Land.
As if to vindicate my line of thinking, Nana Akufo-Addo and his clueless government made up of, family, friends, cronies, and concubines, is working very hard to convince every right-thinking Ghanaian that it was a BIG MISTAKE to gamble with the destiny of Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana by allowing a bunch of know-nothings to take over the reins of leadership.
What the heck did Ken Ofori-Atta think he was doing when he appeared before Parliament to supposedly read the budget statement for the 2018 fiscal year?
Did Ken Ofori-Atta really think he was cutting a solid image for himself via that extremely shambolic performance?
Did Ken Ofori-Atta think he did himself any good via the blatant lies that he spewed?
I ask again; what the heck did Ken Ofori-Atta think he was doing when he appeared before Parliament to supposedly present the budget statement?
When I saw Vice President Bawumia sit and nod sheepishly at the kamikaze Kwaku Ananase budget statement being read by Ken Ofori-Atta, I wept in my spirit for this dear nation of ours.
What irked me the most; was the precious time that was spent once again telling the nation some needless and useless story about the family of Nana Akufo-Addo and Ken Ofori-Atta.
Did I not predict that Ken Ofori-Atta will waste our time telling us stories about his ancestry?
Two days before the budget statement was read, I predicted on the airwaves that Ken Ofori-Atta will swim in an extremely nauseating sea of, ethnocentrism and tribal bigotry, and that is exactly what he did.
In his maiden appearance before Parliament to read this year’s budget statement, Ken Ofori-Atta shocked the nation when he spent copious time talking about his Akyem Abuakwa ancestry and painting a supremacist picture of his Ofori-Atta, Danquah, genealogical tree.
The tribal bigotry of Ken Ofori-Atta was shocking to the extent that, until his appearance in Parliament to do what he did, people accorded him some modicum of respect by thinking that because of his educational level and contrived demeanour, he was someone who lived above tribal bigotry and ethnicity.
As it things stand now, it is as clear as daylight that Ken Ofori-Atta is also a strong adherent of the Akyem Abuakwa supremacist tunnel-vision mind-set, hence his revolting continues mention of his family tree when he appears before Parliament to read his lethargic budget statements.
When Ken Ofori-Atta tells us that the headless government of his cousin Nana Akufo-Addo, loves Ghanaians so much that there will be no introduction of new taxes, does he think he is talking to a bunch of simpletons?
Did Bawumia not make so much noise about how an NPP Government under the watch of Nana Akufo-Addo will abolish all the taxes introduced by the John Mahama-led NDC Government?
If Ken Ofori-Atta is now telling us that the NPP Government will maintain the Fiscal Stabilisation Levy and the Special Import Levy, what it means is that, the NPP is introducing new taxes because both taxes have “SUNSET CLAUSES”.
That is to say, when both taxes were introduced under the watch of the President John Dramani Mahama-led, NDC Government, the taxes were to be abolished at the end of 2017.
If the NPP is telling us that they are keeping both taxes till 2019 as mentioned by Ken Ofori-Atta, then the NPP is most definitely introducing new taxes because they will have to send a new bill to Parliament in order to get the constitutional approval to re-introduce both taxes.
Also, the senseless budget had no schedules giving the much-needed details of, Revenue, Expenditure, and Financing.
The Finance Minister also did not provide any information about the monies that he will be allocating to the various sectors and agencies.
The most senselessly comical aspect of Ken Ofori-Atta’s kamikaze Kwaku Ananse budget, is his infantile attempt to hide the real debt of the nation as at the time he was speaking in Parliament.
Just like Kwaku Ananse, Ken Ofori-Atta thought he was outsmarting the rest of us with his fake figures about the national debt.
In a typical Kwaku Ananse manner, Ken Ofori-Atta made no mention of all the debts they have accrued in the last 10 months; especially, the most recent debt vis-à-vis the recent bond floatation.
If Ken Ofori-Atta wants us to believe that the NPP Government is not borrowing heavily and at very exorbitant rates, why the increment in National Interest Charges from GHC 13.9 Billion in 2017, to GHC 14.9 Billion in 2018?
If it is the case that there are no borrowings and it is only NDC debts that are being paid-off, why is the total Interest payment going up by as much as GHC 1 Billion? It just tells you that the NPP is not only borrowing, but borrowing at exorbitant interest rates hence the quantum leap in the interest charges of the nation.
So, who is going to contribute to the unwise so-called Voluntary Fund that is intended to support the senseless Free Form One secondary education?
Does it make sense for the NPP to introduce a senseless populist policy of banning the payment of PTA dues; but go-ahead to say they are introducing a Voluntary Fund?
Is it not absolute nonsense to prevent parents and guardians from paying a token as PTA dues to support the upkeep of their children and wards, but go around and be asking non-parents to contribute to some faceless Voluntary Fund which will be used to supposedly cater for children unknown to them?
What “koraaa” is wrong with these NPP elephants?
Why are they in such a hurry to destroy Ghana’s educational sector?
If Nana Akufo-Addo is in a hurry to fail as President; that is his own cup of tea. But for goodness sake, he should not be in a hurry to destroy Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana.
As for the senseless tale about providing 100,000 jobs in 2018, the least said about it the better.
How are they going to provide the jobs?
In which sectors of the economy will the jobs be provided?
I heard Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu say that the jobs will be provided in the Agriculture sector under the Planting for Food and Jobs.
Honestly, I could not stop laughing when I heard Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu.
So, they want us to go into the farms to be counting the number of graduate students who will be hired as farm labourers? Ah! Ah! Ah!
At the end of it all, who did Ken Ofori-Atta think he was fooling via the self-adulating kamikaze Kwaku Ananse budget statement he read?
So, did Ken Ofori-Atta think that sensible Ghanaians will not see through all his Kwaku Ananse tactics which has exposed him to gross ridicule?
As I stated at the beginning of this write-up, Kwaku Ananse always seems to be the wisest person at the commencement of the stories, but ends up running to hide his shame and disgrace in ONE CORNER at the end of the stories.
Well, in like manner, Ken Ofori-Atta may have begun reading his verbose-but-empty self-adulating budget thinking that he was as shrewd and cunning as Kwaku Ananse; but he ended up pouring tons of embarrassment and ignominy on himself via the emptiness showcased as well as the LIES that fell from his lips.
Just like Kwaku Ananse, Ken Ofori-Atta has ended up in ONE CORNER of being a discredited public figure.
As much as I cry for this dear nation of ours, I am extremely elated that majority of Ghanaians are fast waking up to the reality and VOWING that NEVER AGAIN shall they allow any bunch of tribal bigots and self-seeking, family, friends, cronies, and concubines, to assume the reins of leadership and turn this country upside down.
I rest my case for now and pray we can meet again same time next week under the shade-giving Umbrella.

I honestly cannot believe that we have lost Asempa FM’s Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong (aka KABA).
I personally visited the offices of Multimedia to commiserate with them and I was hit with the hard truth when it was officially confirmed to me that KABA is gone to be with his ancestors.
Life oooo life!!! Hmmmmm!!!!
So KABA is gone never to return?
My deepest condolences to the family of KABA and the young widow as well as the eight month old baby girl.
KABA, may your journey to the Land of your ancestors be safe and smooth.
Fare thee well KABA: we shall meet again sometime someday when the Almighty wills it so.
